Editorial method

Claude Archive privileges source ownership. An Anthropic launch post can establish a launch date. The Claude Platform model-deprecations page can establish retirement status. The pricing page can establish current rates. A third-party blog post can be useful for finding questions people ask, but it does not override the primary source.

When sources disagree, pages should prefer the most specific official source for the claim. For example, a launch post is better for launch context, while the deprecation page is better for retirement dates.

What is not treated as authority

Prompt-leak repositories, social posts, scraped model behavior, and search-result snippets are not authority for factual Claude history on this site. They can suggest a question worth answering, but the answer still needs a primary source.

Similarly, this site does not claim to preserve Anthropic internal records, private model cards, or partner-specific model availability tables unless they are public and source-linked.

Questions this page answers

Does Claude Archive cite unofficial prompt leaks?

No. It uses Anthropic-published system-prompt release notes and excludes leaked prompt repositories.

Can a third-party benchmark page be cited here?

Only if the page is needed to discuss third-party coverage. Model-history facts should come from Anthropic-owned sources when available.
